THE APOSTOLIC THRUST....

All creation is crying out and even we ourselves groan within ourselves to be what God destined us to be before the foundation of the world. In order for destiny to be fulfilled, there must be a voice emanating from a people. We have heard teachers, pastors, and evangelist, but now we must go back to the foundational voices upon which we are built: the apostle and prophet.

The apostle is Gods special messenger and a very necessary part in the Body of Christ. As Gods mouthpiece, the apostles voice as a trumpet gives the Body of Christ a clear and penetrating sound. What are the signs of the times, how do we position ourselves strategically to bring forth Gods purpose, how should our local churches function to bring forth Christ? What is God saying in times such as these when men everywhere cower in fear, running for cover and safety, and becoming lovers of self more than lovers of God? What is God saying when churches split over basic theocratic principles? What is God saying when multitudes cry out to be delivered? When nations no longer desire good sermons but the power of a living God who will empower them to fulfill their appointed destiny? The answers flow from the rivers of living water that proceed from the mouth of apostles and prophets, accompanied by a new breed of people. They are apostolic and prophetic in nature and lifestyle.

There is, like everything else, that which is true and that which is false. Those whose voices trumpet the mind of God are not lone superstars, without integrity, whose lifestyle betrays the words spoken from the pulpit. Gods mouthpiece for this time are the men and women, seasoned by lifes trials, proven in local churches, who have endured rejection and have loved God and His people all the more, and have remained in spite of it all. They minister life and cross cultural, racial and gender barriers to proclaim that in Christ we are one. There are no secret prejudices behind closed doors or unspoken messages that one group is really superior to another. The true apostolic message is not limited to intellectual, racial, or economic gifting or graces, but is proclaimed by an anointing that swallows up what is not like it. This apostolic and prophetic anointing pierces the air and disrupts thoughts and intents that have controlled peoples lives.

This may all sound familiar. Is it some new fad among Christians? The answer is no. There is an appointed time for all things. The time is now when the apostolic and prophetic voice speaks. It ricochets within the spirit and heart of the hearer, stirring within the necessity to decide what will be done. Am I to turn back carrying my issues with me, or am I to release my baggage, find my place, remain in rank, fulfill by measure as a joint of supply, and execute Gods purpose.
